That funky beat.

Listening to Jamiroquai makes me want to break down and dance. Go to a club and start swinging. Or set up a funk / disco band and get other people dancing. Dammit. Such awesome grooves.

Jay Kay is such a blur of creative frenzy. He makes vocalisation look like an instrument, so much so that even when he isn't singing, he looks like he's doing something.

Jason Kay. The one man I'd probably pay lots of money for his music.

ASMUN '10

Hello people, it has been quite a while since I posted, I know, I hope you'll excuse me as these last few weeks I have found myself extremely busy with tons of stuff. Apart from uni classes, I have also been busy with this UN activity thingy called ASMUN, it's like a training if you wanna work at the UN some day, and in the past few days, I've been doing nothing but attending the conference for five days, from 9am till 6pm, and as exhausting and extremely tiring as it was, it was still so much fun, and I've met the most amazing people there, not to mention a few annoying ones as well.
I was the 'Honorable' delegate of The Republic of Lebanon, which I didn't like that much to be honest, as I applied for the United Kingdom delegation in the first place.
It was such a great experience even though I didn't talk that much at the end of the conference due to the 2nd crisis being extremely boring and Lebanon has absolutely nothing to do with it. But I still enjoyed listening to other delegates and observers!
Also, I've applied for the global UN conference in Malysia, and I absolutely cannot wait until I go there this summer, if I'm lucky enough!
That's about it for now peeps, as I still have a lot to do. And can't write too much now!
Good day/evening to you.

Avatar.. Finally!

First time I saw Avatar's trailer, I thought it seemed cool, and decided to see it as soon as it's out in the cinemas, however, I didn't, and every single person I know went to see it, except me, it's not that I didn't want to, but it's because everytime I decide to see it, something happens, and I end up not going. Until there was nobody left to go with me, and finally I saw it today alone. Basically, when I saw it alone, I was able to concentrate very well, I was too absorbed in it, that I started to analyze and dissect each and every little thing in it. Until I came to a conclusion, that everything that happens in this film, happens in real life. This film is simply allegorical, Pandora represents the nations that have been and still are being colonized, and the US army represents itself.

Apart from the impressive visual effects, the beautiful music and outstanding graphics, the plot is very good, this movie can be considered as a political one, come to think of it. I had tears in my eyes when their home was destroyed and many Navi's got killed, it's not like these people do exist in real life, or this planet is out there somewhere for real, but it's simply because this is what happens in Iraq and Afghanistan and other countries nowadays, and it's what happened many decades ago in Egypt, and other places, innocent people dying, so many houses destroyed, and so much blood has been shed.

Overall, the movie is quite good, I salut James Cameron for such a fine movie. And I believe that if you want to enjoy a movie in the cinema, you better go alone, because as fun as friends can be, they can distract you sometimes, and you do not want that if you're watching a good movie.

I'll leave you with the extended trailer, for those who haven't seen it, yet.

Good day/evening to you fellas.

Addicted to the Mushroom!

Hello, peoples!

I've ignored my blog for quite a while, due to being extremely busy with stuff here, including uni classes!

'Tis quite hot these days, and I cannot say how much I'm gutted because of that, I mean we're still in winter, why is it hot like that? I've no clue..

So, these days, I'm constantly listening to this amazing psychedelic trance and electronic music band Infected Mushroom, they're absolutely brilliant, their music combination is just mind blowing! Puts me in an ecstatic mood, basically. I seriously cannot stress enough how much I'm in love with this band, right now. I mean, I've started to seriously like psychedelic trance because of them. Thanks to my amazing best friend Nina! She's the one who introduced me to them, bless her. I'll leave you with one of my absolute favourites "In front Of Me". Good day/evening to you.

Snow!

Okay peoples, Cairo is officially flooded now. I was going out, after I got dressed, and left, to my happiness ( Because I love rain ) and disappointment ( Because I couldn't go out anymore ), it started to rain very heavily, and this ruined everything, my hair, my make up, and my clothes! So I got back home, and decided to stay in. As soon as I finished my shower, the thunder and lightening started, I love hearing the thunder, it's just so amazing! The big surprise is that it started to snow! Yes, snow!! In Egypt! For the first time, I couldn't believe it, basically. This weather puts me in such an ecstatic mood, I just love sitting by the window, watching the rain. This is why I fit in England I suppose, because it's raining there most of the time, and has such a gloomy weather, which is exactly what I love.

Here's a blurry picture of the snow!

Of course that's normal in Europe and north America, but it is not normal here, I assure you, peoples. And, the good news is ( at least for me, it's good ) that it's gonna be raining like that for the next 3 days or so!

That's it for now, dearies.

But before I go, here...

The charming Lady GaGa. Not.

Homesick!

So! Lately, I've been thinking about London a lot, and how much I miss it, and miss my life there :(

I miss it to the point of insanity, I miss my house and the area I used to live in, I miss the streets, the big red buses, the black cabs, the little cosy pubs, the shops, even the cloudy sky, and the rain!

I came to a conclusion that, even though I love Egypt, but I belong there in England, I love London with its fucked up shit, I enjoy myself there, more than any other place in the world, if I'm to choose whether to live in such an impressive place like Japan for example, or England, I'd choose England, no question about it.

This picture is of where I used to live, Bayswater, isn't it beautiful? I have lots of memories there, although I remember that I was gonna die there.

I was looking from my window and leaned forward too much, and was gonna fall, but thank god my mom pulled me before it happened!

Actually, this place sorta reminds me of down town in Cairo. Come to think of it.

Well, that's it for my 1st blog, peeps.

Good day/night to you.
